I'm kind of an average (very flawed) joe that has worn many hats occupationally, but always made time to draw, paint, and photograph. Imaging is a tool used to think things through, pray, play, and meditate. Everything is a tool from twigs to computers and results may or may not be representational. The hope is always to elicit a moment of joy from those gracious enough to consider and spend time on any of my images.

Basically the artwork is a form of prayer. Would imagine most heartful endeavors performed by people are essentially that way. I'm not a religious sort, but most definitely know there is a God and we humans are a part of it all. Ok, so what am I praying for?

Above all I pray for peace and all the things that go hand in hand with peace. This would mean an end to unnecessary hunger, poverty, and spiritual malaise. The worship of things would be supplanted by the appreciation of the ideals that all humans share at their core. God would be used as an inspiration for service to others instead of a tool for propagating fear and subservience to whatever political force happens to be in power. Of course this would also put an end to using God as a justification to dehumanize others. Instead an appreciation of our connectedness would take hold and help guide our thoughts and actions.

There is no technical reason why the above prayerful wishes can not come to pass. We humans lost the excuse of "there is not enough to go around" some time ago. The argument for fighting over limited resources just doesn't hold up to any honest scrutiny. The Malthusian paradigm is faulty at best. I see a much better world. Can you?
